Peter Chung Interviews Jeff Driscoll on the anticipated guidelines to be implemented by AG 49A

It has been a long road for AG 49A. Intended to provide uniform guidance for Index Universal Life Policies as well as illustration transparency for consumers, the regulation has presented the industry with some challenges. After meetings, revisions, public comment periods and opinion pieces, it appears that AG 49A is but a formality vote away from being finalized. The implementation of this updated regulation will begin on or around December 14, 2020, and is expected to have widespread effects.
